Large-format stone wraps the walls and floor; walnut panels, bronze-toned fittings and concealed light warm the vanity, the niche and the glass-walled shower.
Rococo plaster reliefs above a low, deeply upholstered bed; a lit glass wardrobe, a leather tub chair and a dark stone side table round out the room.
A monolithic steel island and full-height cabinetry beside walnut fronts, with integrated appliances, a lit splashback and a dining table by the window.
Steel upper cabinets and walnut joinery around the laundry, with open shelves and a textured runner, and a cushion, lead hooks and bowls for the dog.

Walnut After Dark sets a dark contemporary interior inside a classical shell. Ornamental plaster ceilings, cornices and wall reliefs stay pale and quiet, while walnut, grey stone and brushed steel bring the rooms down to an evening register. Tall windows open each space to trees and hills at sunset.

The living room gathers around a long fireplace in dark stone beneath a carved plaster wall, with a deep leather modular sofa and a velvet tub chair. In the kitchen, a monolithic island and full-height cabinetry in brushed steel meet walnut fronts and a herringbone floor under a ceiling of plaster ornament. The bedroom pairs classical wall panels with a low, deeply upholstered bed, and the study is a walnut desk before a wall of lit shelves.

The palette is walnut, grey veined stone, brushed steel, warm concrete and pale plaster, with bronze-toned fittings and leather in tobacco and charcoal. In the bathroom, large-format stone wraps the walls, the floor and a floating vanity; the utility room repeats walnut and steel around a washer and dryer, a steel worktop and a fitted nook for the dog.

Light is low and layered: concealed strips under shelves, cabinets and the vanity, slim track lines in the ceilings, lit niches, wood-veneer lamps in the study and a swing-arm lamp beside the fireplace. Against the dark materials, each source picks out grain, veining and metal.

Furniture answers the hard surfaces with soft, rounded forms: tub armchairs in velvet, leather and cream upholstery, a sculptural translucent pendant over the kitchen island, black stone side tables and a dining table with leather chairs. The small things are considered too, from lit niches in the bathroom and shower and a rain shower behind clear glass to a place for leads and bowls beside the dog's cushion.

Calm, warm and made for the evening, the apartment is shown here in visualisations of its rooms.

A wood-veneer pendant, sconce and floor lamp warm a concrete wall and walnut shelving; olive trees and a patterned rug soften the workroom.
A carved plaster ceiling and wall reliefs frame a linear fireplace, lit shelving and a swing-arm lamp above the herringbone floor and textured rug.
