Agatha
Agatha is a pendant lamp designed by Luis Eslava Studio for the Spanish brand LZF. Curved strips of natural wood veneer loop around the light in concentric layers and form a flower-like shade that gives a warm glow when lit. There are three models: Agatha Small (76 × 78 cm in plan, 37 cm high, one E27 bulb), Agatha Ball (80 × 84 cm, 70 cm high, six E27 bulbs), which joins two Small shades into a sphere, and Agatha Large (140 × 144 cm, 76 cm high, three E27 bulbs). Every lamp is handmade to order from real wood veneer treated with LZF's patented Timberlite® process, which makes the thin veneer flexible and resistant. Agatha Small comes in ten veneer colours — 20 Ivory White, 21 Natural Cherry, 22 Natural Beech, 24 Yellow, 25 Orange, 26 Red, 28 Blue, 29 Grey, 33 Pale Rose and 34 Sea Blue; Agatha Ball and Agatha Large come in seven — Ivory White, Natural Beech, Yellow, Orange, Grey, Pale Rose and Sea Blue. The metal canopy is matte nickel, ø 8 cm. The lamp hangs from a stainless-steel cable alongside a transparent electrical cable (up to 2.5 m drop; the height is set during installation). E27 lamp holders for dimmable bulbs, 220–240 V; bulbs are not included. The price depends on the model; the colour does not change it.

Care
Dust the shade with a feather duster or a damp cloth, cleaning only the flat surface of the veneer and keeping moisture away from its edges. Clean the metal canopy with a soft damp cloth only and make sure no moisture gets into the joints between metal parts; use water only — no solvents or cleaning products. Switch off the power before cleaning. Keep the lamp away from direct or strong indirect sunlight and from moisture, and do not install it near air-conditioning or ventilation outlets. Wood is a natural material: its tone changes gradually over time, and lamps bought at different times may differ in colour, especially in light veneers. After unpacking, let the shade rest open for 24 hours to recover its shape, then gently separate the strips so they do not overlap. Electrical installation and servicing by a qualified electrician only.
