Ile Pouf

Ile Pouf is Bensen's upholstered pouf in three versions: Ile Round Pouf, Ø 66 cm; Ile Small Square Pouf, 88 × 88 cm; and Ile Large Square Pouf, 126 × 126 cm. The square versions have softly rounded corners, and all three are 42 cm high. Like every Ile piece, the pouf has an undercut base — a detail shared with Bensen's U Turn lounge chair — that makes it look lighter and leaves room for the feet, so sitting down and getting up are easier. A light core of CNC-cut composite wood panels is capped with layers of multi-density structural foam, with felt glides underneath. The cover attaches with Velcro and is removable for cleaning or replacement; it is made in Bensen fabric or leather, with the exact material and colour chosen with each order. The pouf can serve as lounge seating, a stool or a small table.

Care

The cover is removable and attached with Velcro; before dry cleaning, cover the Velcro tabs with strips of Velcro so that they cannot stick to the fabric and damage it. Fabric: the usual method is dry cleaning at the lowest possible temperature (mild solvents only — no trichloroethylene or oxidising agents); smooth creases with an iron on the lowest setting or with a steamer once the cover is back on, and use a professional upholstery cleaning service for more thorough cleaning. Leather: keep 20–30 cm from radiators and out of direct sunlight, vacuum regularly with a soft brush, dampen water-soluble marks and dry them with a paper towel, and use only water-based leather care products — never solvents; for stains that will not come out, ask a professional upholstery cleaner.
