Collar Chair

Collar Chair is the original lounge chair of Bensen's Collar collection: a 75 cm wide armchair whose rounded backrest wraps around a roomy seat. The flexible polyurethane body has a structural metal frame and an integrated seat cushion on elastic webbing, with foams of several densities; the chair is 70 cm deep and 68 cm high, with a seat height of 43 cm. It comes with a choice of two bases: welded steel tubing in Chrome or Matte Black with plastic foot glides, or a CNC-machined solid wood frame in Oak or Black Oak, finished with a low-gloss water-based clear coat and fitted with plastic glides. The cover is removable, and the chair is upholstered in Bensen fabric or leather; the exact material and colour are chosen with each order. It works on its own as a reading chair or in a group of chairs for conversation.

Care

The cover is removable. Fabric: the usual method is dry cleaning at the lowest possible temperature (mild solvents only — no trichloroethylene or oxidising agents); smooth creases with an iron on the lowest setting or with a steamer once the cover is back on, and use a professional upholstery cleaning service for more thorough cleaning. Leather: keep 20–30 cm from radiators and out of direct sunlight, vacuum regularly with a soft brush, dampen water-soluble marks and dry them with a paper towel, and use only water-based leather care products — never solvents; for stains that will not come out, ask a professional upholstery cleaner.
